The Broncos play the Jets, Colts and Redskins over the next three weeks, the latter two on the road. There’s no reason to think they’ll play any better against any of those sub-.500 teams after the Dolphins had their way with them.
The Buccaneers can play spoiler in all of this. After playing the Lions in Week 14, they’ll get a shot at all three NFC South contenders. An upset loss to the bottom-feeders could be disastrous for the Falcons, Panthers or Saints.
Rams defensive back Trumaine Johnson is called for pass interference on a third-and-1 play, moving the Eagles to the Los Angeles 39.
Jared Goff completes a third-down pass well short of the marker and the Rams punt. Philadelphia will take over at its 12.
Touchdown Eagles. Philadelphia answers the Rams score with one of its own. The Eagles string together an eight-play, 75-yard drive that ends with a 5-yard touchdown pass from Carson Wentz to Brent Celek to tie the score at 7-7. Corey Clement registered a key 28-yard reception on the drive.
Touchdown Rams. Los Angeles scores three plays after the Eagles’ turnover and take a 7-0 lead. Todd Gurley takes a second-down handoff and runs for 30 yards, advancing to the Philadelphia 2. One play later, he punches it in for the score.
With jobs on the line everywhere in Denver, starting with Joseph’s, maybe Denver will end on a high note. Otherwise, nobody will be saved from the understandable wrath of John Elway.
